Module 7

Power BI Embedded

Goal –

Power BI Embedded enables you to integrate Power BI reports into your mobile and Web applications. It is an azure Service that allows ISVs and app developers to surface Power BI data experiences within their applications. It defers to your application to perform all the necessary user authentication and authorization. There is no explicit requirement that your end users be customers of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Instead, your application expresses to Microsoft Power BI Embedded authorization to render a Power BI report by using Application Authentication Tokens (App Tokens). (Content)

Module 8

Power BI Integration and Administration

Goal –

The Power BI Integration page in Reporting Services Configuration Manager is used to register the report server with the desired Azure Active Directory (AD) . The requirements for Power BI Integration are Azure Active Directory and Managed Tenant. The Power BI cloud strategy is based on two principles: – Self-Service BI in which user create reports or dashboards without relying on any IT professional and the second is Sharing of data.
